Lawson Place is a 22 Apartment complex. The Contract was an external refurbishment for the Body Corporate. There are 5 blocks of apartments, and they were unoccupied for the duration of the work. Access to the occupied blocks had to be maintained during the construction works. Once cladding was removed the necessary framing replacement was identified by the building surveyor and this work was completed prior to new windows and cladding. Deck membranes and substrate was also replaced as required. Constant communication with the build committee also allowed them to get some basement water ingress issues resolved during the course of this contract. It also allowed the owners to carry out some internal refurbishment while tenants were not in their unit. There were numerous challenges in this project, but all were overcome, and the body corporate was delivered a code complying building that their owners and tenants are very happy with.
