Strait Construction was contracted to carry out an external make-over of this property including:
Replacement of all windows
Most of the exterior cladding
Some internal refurbishment was required to ensure that the work included in previous building permits was up to code.
Code compliance certificate from the Wellington City Council for the whole building at completion.
Unexpected issues were revealed and addressed during construction. After discussion with the parties involved in this contract, rationalisation of the roof-glazing design was introduced to ensure that a weak spot was resolved.
This was external access only and the building was fully occupied during the exterior modernisation work.
