With an award-winning architectural design, this project was armed with a tight budget. The solution was a simple rectangular form as the main play space with all the ancillary rooms to the perimeter. The main focus was visibility for staff from all areas and to prioritize level access from the internal play space out to the playground to ensure an all-inclusive experience for the children, care givers and teachers. The building is designed to account for the future installation of solar panels to heat the water and power the lights and water tanks for emergency water supply, external cleaning and gardening. It now has the capacity to accommodate 70 children, 10 infants, 8 staff and is large enough to absorb overflow from nearby facilities as they are upgraded in the future.
